Never Not Knitting is a podcast produced by Alana Dakos, knitting designer and author of several books, including Botanical Knits. She discusses recent and upcoming knitting retreats and festivals where she teaches, and projects she's currently knitting (both personal and design-related). A special feature of this podcast is the knitting stories, usually contributed by listeners, which are featured in almost every episode. Plus, every episode includes a give-away! This podcast is currently on break until September, but the ninety already recorded episodes will (hopefully) keep us busy until then.
Creative Yarn Entrepreneur is a podcast made specifically with yarn-related businesses in mind. I have found this podcast not only enjoyable, but also helpful to me as a designer. If you have a knitting or crochet business, or are interested in starting one, you should definitely check out this podcast. Marie Segares, the podcaster, is currently in the midst of a series on self-publishing knitting and crochet patterns; you can listen to the first episode here. Previous episodes discuss topics such as how to run a pattern test, find inexpensive yarn for your business, and run a successful knit-a-long.
A Playful Day is a podcast with a friendly, relaxed feel. Podcaster Kate discusses her current inspirations, crafty events and what's on her needles. She also frequently interviews creative people, including knitwear designers such as Bristol Ivy, Donna Druchunas and Ysolda Teague.
Thank you so much for stopping by! If you like listening to podcasts too, I'm sure we'd love to here your recommendations.
