Lydia's Scarf, on the other hand, is worked in lace weight yarn (Juniper Moon Farm Findley; so lovely!) in two pieces from the ends to the center and grafted using an in-pattern graft for symmetry. Sound scary? Well, I was a little apprehensive, too. This scarf is, in fact, the first time I had ever worked an in-pattern graft. I turned to Joni Coniglio's Definitive Guide to Grafting Part 3 video for advice, and in spite of the complicated diagram in the pattern, it really isn't all that hard. If you're ready for a bit of a challenge or really love lace-weight-lace (like me), I think you'll enjoy this project.
This magazine has many other lovely patterns in it, so if you like what you see here, go check out the rest on Ravelry, or purchase the magazine from Interweave. I hope you love it as much as I do!
